Sr Alicja Drabik
Sister Alicja was born in Poland. In 1982 she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family in the Krakow Province, and pronounced her perpetual vows in Czestochowa in 1990.
Her religious life journey led her as far as Rome, Italy, and Texas in USA.
She arrived to Australia in 1998. Her ministry has always been connected with her professional qualifications as a registered nurse. She helped with the fragile, ageing and sick, both in the congregation as well as the within the Congregational institutions and public hospitals. She completed a Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) at the Australian Catholic University and her Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care in Aged Care.
Caring for the sick is not only Sr Alicja’s job but also her life passion. She currently works at Holy Family Services, Marayong, the biggest sponsored ministry of the province, which includes Aged Care, Childcare, a Registered Training Organisation and a Retirement Village. Sister’s congregational involvement also includes the leadership of the Association of the Holy Family in Australia. In January 2017, Sister was called to serve the Holy Spirit Province as assistant to the Provincial Leader.
