Sr Alicja Drabik
Sister Alicja was born in Poland. In 1982 she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family in the Krakow Province. In 1990 pronounced her perpetual vows in Czestochowa. Her religious life journey led her as far as Rome, Italy, and Texas in USA.
She arrived to Australia in 1998. Her ministry was always connected with her professional qualifications as registered nurse. She helped with the fragile, ageing and sick, both in the congregation as well as the Congregational institutions and public hospitals. She completed Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) at Australian Catholic University and Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care in Aged Care.
Caring for the sick in not only a job but also her life passion. Currently, Sr Alicja works at Holy Family Services, Marayong – the biggest sponsored ministry of the province, which includes Aged Care, Childcare, Registered Training Organisation and the Retirement Village. Sister’s congregational involvement includes the leadership of the Association of the Holy Family in Australia. In January 2017, sister was called to serve the Holy Spirit Province as assistant to the Provincial Leader.
