Sr Lucyna (Lucy) Fraczek

Sister Lucyna was born in Wadowice, Poland. In 1986 she entered the Congregation – Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth Krakow Province. Professed her Final Vows in 1994.

Sister has taken on various ministries, such as: two years in the General House in Rome, Italy; a Carer in a single mother’s house; receptionist in Congregational Mother House, Krakow, which also included taking care of homeless people. Sister was also in charge of the parish kitchen inGdynia. Her last ministry in Poland was served as Assistant of Accountant in Nursing Home, Wroclaw.

In early 2000 Sister volunteered for Congregational Program for Mission resulting in her transition from Poland to Australia in 2004.

Her Australian journey across WA, QLD and NSW connected her with many people and various ministries for community and Australian Church. From 2005-2016, Sister fulfilled the role of Treasurer/Councillor for the Holy Spirit Province. In January 2017 Sister commence serving the Congregation as Provincial Leader. Her role is to oversee and support Sisters in their life and ministry, also leadership of the Holy Family Services Board – their biggest sponsored ministry.

Her life passion is to bring others closer to God. She loves to listen to people’s stories and discover God’s work in their lives.
