“THAT THE GOD OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE FATHER OF GLORY, GIVE YOU A SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION RESULTING IN KNOWLEDGE OF HIM. MAY THE EYES OF [YOUR] HEARTS BE ENLIGHTENED, THAT YOU MAY KNOW WHAT IS THE HOPE THAT BELONGS TO HIS CALL…” (Eph 1: 17-18)
The spirituality of the Congregation flows from the charism, that is, from the particular experience of the Spirit, given to the founder. The spirituality of our Congregation is a special way of living out the mystery of Nazareth – the life of the Holy Family. Our spirituality is also our Nazareth way of life, modeled on the example left for us by our Blessed Foundress (blessed Frances Siedliska). We continually strive to discover and recognize the spiritual experience of our Mother, as we look at the earthly reality in a supernatural light.
Our spirituality, inspired by the mystery of the Holy Family, obliges us to seek ways to bring the world closer to the Mystery of God revealed in the Incarnation of the Son of God. Through the witness of our life we are to convey that God exists, that God is Love, that He is eternal and omnipotent, and that God lives among his people. God, becoming a human being, wanted to enter into the most simple, ordinary experience of human life. The Mystery of the Incarnation is the expression of the immense love of God for human persons. Mother (blessed Frances Siedliska), pondering this mystery, wanted our attitude of love to be the center of our response to God. Following the example of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we exert every effort so that charity totally permeates all dimensions of our lives.
We are called anew to deepen our spirituality in the light of the charism of our congregation, the Word of God, the teachings of the Church, our Constitutions and healthy traditions in the face of the challenges of the modern world. In everything that comprises the spiritual and apostolic heritage of our congregation, we wish to take into account also the cultural and historical context.
