150 years and counting
In 2025 the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth embarked on the Jubilee Year, celebrating the congregation's 150th anniversary. The opening ceremony of the Jubilee took place on the first Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2024, at the General House in Rome.
Representatives from around the world (including Australia) participated in the celebration. The Jubilee Year will conclude on 30 November 2025.

The official date of the funding of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, started by Blessed Frances Siedliska, is the First Sunday of Advent 1875. The mission of the Foundress, Mary of Jesus the Good Shepherd, and her Congregation focuses on spreading the Kingdom of God on earth. From the beginning, the Sisters are dedicated to serving families, running schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and orphanages. Till now, the sisters serve on 5 continents, in 14 countries, continuing their mission to support families in their various needs.
Jubilee Prayer
As we continue to celebrate this special year, we pray for you and all families around the world the prayer for plenary indulgence.
This plenary indulgence is both for all our Sisters who will pray in the private chapels of our communities, as well as for all those who, during this period, will join us in devotional and liturgical celebrations, particularly in the chapels of our convents, as well as through the recitation of the Prayer to the Holy Family:
O Holy Family, bless and protect all the families of the world.
Safeguard their unity, fidelity, integrity and dignity.
Enable them to live according to God’s law that they may fulfill their sublime vocation.
May their lives be a reflection of yours and may they enjoy your presence forever in heaven. Amen
